The Runeskrift, the student newspaper of Sidney Lanier High School, is an open forum for the exchange of ideas and opinions, and serves the students, faculty, staff and school community. The Runeskrift also serves as a laboratory class for journalism students.
The Runeskrift is a member of the Interscholastic League Press Conference, the Journalism Education Assoication, the Associaiton of Journalism Educators and the Columbia Scholastic Press Assocation.
Bylined columns are the opinion of individual writers, and do no necessarily represent the opinion of The Runeskrift staff, the Lanier faculty, staff or administration, or the administration of the Austin Independent School District.
Editorials represent the opinion of the majority of The Runeskrift staff.
Letters to the Editor are encouraged. Letters which could be considered libelous, malicious or disruptive will not be published. Unsigned letters will not be published, although some names may be withheld upon request. All correspondence, either editorial or commerical, should be addressed to Lanier High school in care of The Runeskrift.
